Updated water restriction information

Level 2 water restrictions are now in place for residents, businesses and community organisations across Ballina, Byron, Lismore and Richmond Valley council areas.

Nimbin’s water restrictions have been lowered to Level 2.

Level 3 water restrictions are now in place for residents in Casino & surrounds.

Water restrictions for residents in the Clarence Valley remain at Level 1.

Update 10 February: After the recent rain, Tweed Shire Council has lifted water restrictions with immediate effect following the recent rainfall, with Clarrie Hall Dam 100% full!  💧 Households can return to normal water consumption and business permits are no longer required.  🚿 Beach showers, water bubblers and public taps will be turned back on over the coming weeks.  🙌 Council thanked residents for cutting down water use over the past couple of months and although water restrictions have now been lifted, they are encouraging residents to keep up with water-saving efforts!

Rous County Council asks the community to please use water wisely to avoid preventable loss of water and further restrictions occurring.
